Robin Seeley had Muscular Dystrophy and was confined to a wheelchair from age 10 to 17 years old, when sadly, he passed away. Robin remained at home with his family, went to school in Cromer and had a great group of friends, being a typical teenager, despite his wheelchair.

When Robin died, a disco was held at Cromer Youth Club, which resulted in the purchase of the memorial cup, which has been presented by a member of the family for 27 years. Cromer Carnival parade, The floats had assembled on the field for judging before the parade, entertaining crowds with music and dancing while they waited to be led off by a pipe band, Miss Cromer Emma Thompson and her fellow 'royal' family members and local emergency services crews.
