But they are mostly seconds that have been on the shelves of other cigar humidors maybe for years. They are dry, moldy, have holes from mites and unravel when you handle them.
All have been sprayed with chemicals for import to the US and the residue can be seen on the outer leaves. The cigar smoke burns your eyes and your pallet. Reputable cigar shops allow you to return defective or "clogged" un-smokable cigars. All I got was an argument about how I must have damaged the cigars since purchase.
This is not good customer service policy and I will not go back again. Even though I had my receipt for my purchase I was not given a refund on obviously bad cigars. I spoke to other clients on my cruise and found they had experienced more or less the same thing. Worth mentioning, also There should be some type of government consumer service agency that tourist can get relief through. The Cigar House cigars are just another third world horror story!

They have a very attractive jewelry area for her to peruse while you take in the sights and smells of the huge, well stocked walk-in humidor.
As you exit the humi with a few choice selections, you'll catch sight of the very comfortable couches lining the walls of the smoking lounge. And THIS, my smokey friend, will be the perfect time to suggest to your lovely bride that she take your credit card, walk three blocks west and one north, take her time buing anything she needs, and then pick you up on her way back to the ship!
You both will thank me in the end. And if you'd like to pop into the mail a Gloria Cubano Serie R Maduro as a more tangible expression of your gratitude, that would be perfectly acceptable as well.
Arrogant, disrespectful owner. Never go there! The sales associates are nice but the owner terrible. They said no return after cigars leave the store. Don't spent your money on boxes or expensive cigars there for you won't get refund or exchange. Too bad the bad experience came from the owner. I lived stateside and now here, and costumer service in the island is medriocre at it's best.
Large selection of fine cigars to choose from in addition to high end spirits, wine and micro brew beers! The atrium cigar lounge is located in the back of the store and a great place to hang out for a bit and enjoy a cigar. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, what a great find! At first, the attention from the staff was horrible; they did not know anything truly about cigars.
Their selection of cigars were huge and very diverse. However, all of the cigars I bought are dry, moldy, have holes and unravel very easily. Moreover, all have been sprayed with chemicals as pesticides and preservatives for import to the US. Even the cigar smoke burns your eyes and your pallet. The worst part was that most cigar shops allow you to return defective or un-smokable cigars, and all I got was an argument from the STAFF about how I must have damaged the cigars since their purchase.
Cornelius D Mundelein, IL 3 contributions. Good Place for a Cigar Fancier. My wife and I visited this place 3 times; twice during the day and once in the evening. It has a well stocked walk-in humidor and other humidors with a good selection of cigars.
There are comfortable leather chairs to sit in while you smoke. There is also a well stocked bar. If you are a bourbon fan there are many high-end bourbons available including Bookers, Bulliet and Jefferson Ocean; all of which are listed on the Bourbon Bucket List. Bottles are available for sale. I mention this because I found that the bourbon selection in Puerto Rico in general was limited. The atmosphere was friendly. The televisions always had soccer on them and were in Spanish, unlike some other places that cater more to the tourist crowd and have basketball or ESPN in English.
The same can be said however about my local cigar bar. The regulars get to see what they want. I always paid in cash. If you want to use a credit card be prepared to show ID. If you are looking for a place to buy a good cigar, sit and have a smoke and a drink this is the place for you.
This has to be the most incredible cigar house in Puerto Rico. The place looks small from the outside but once you venture into the establishment you amazed at how spacious the place is. The walls are adorned with cigar history and photos of celebrities that have entered this smoke house. The show stopper was the expansive cigar humidor room that seem to have just about every top cigar maker.
The staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you may have and they have just about every accessory you may need. Also once you purchase you cigars you sit and have a smoke and a drink from the bar.
